Image Privacy Cleaner is a Chrome extension provided by localseo.lk that helps users inspect and selectively remove supported metadata from image files.
We respect your privacy and aim to minimize the personal information needed to provide the service.
This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles images, account information, authentication credentials, subscriptions, usage records, and related data.
2. Image Processing
Image Privacy Cleaner processes selected image files locally in your browser.
Image contents, image filenames, and extracted metadata are not uploaded to localseo.lk for scanning or cleaning.
The extension examines supported metadata and produces cleaned image copies on your device. Images are not intentionally transmitted to our servers as part of the cleaning process.
You control which images you select and which cleaned copies you download.
3. Account Information
The extension uses a localseo.lk account to provide authentication, subscription status, and usage authorization.
When you sign in, the extension may retrieve and display:
- Your account display name and email address.
- Your subscription or entitlement status.
- Daily cleaning allowance and usage information.
- Authentication and session status.
Authentication takes place through the localseo.lk website. Your WordPress password is not provided to the extension.
4. Authentication and Local Storage
The extension uses secure authentication tokens to maintain your signed-in session.
The access token is stored in Chrome session storage. The refresh token and necessary account details are stored in extension local storage.
The extension may retain restricted, non-sensitive diagnostic categories to explain authentication failures. These diagnostics are not intended to contain passwords, token values, authorization codes, or image data.
Logging out clears the extension's locally stored authentication credentials and requests revocation of the authenticated session.
WordPress authentication services retain server-side token verification records and related security information according to their implemented expiration and cleanup rules.
5. Information Sent to localseo.lk
The extension communicates with localseo.lk over HTTPS for:
- Account authentication and session management.
- Retrieving account and subscription information.
- Checking or authorizing cleaning allowances.
- Redeeming subscription activation codes.
- Maintaining account security.
These requests can include authentication headers, product identifiers, and randomly generated operation identifiers.
Image bytes and extracted image metadata are not part of these service requests.
Normal hosting infrastructure may also process technical request information, such as IP addresses and request timestamps, for security and service operation.
6. Free and Pro Plans
Free accounts are subject to the daily cleaning allowance displayed within the extension.
Pro entitlement records, redemption information, and relevant account usage records are maintained to administer access to the service and prevent misuse.
Daily usage records and Pro entitlement records are currently retained while the associated account exists, subject to applicable legal obligations and verified account-data deletion procedures.

7. Data Sharing and Service Providers
Account and authentication information is processed through the localseo.lk website and its hosting infrastructure.
Authorized infrastructure providers may process technical information necessary to host, secure, and deliver the service.
We do not sell image files, image metadata, authentication tokens, or account information to advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose information where required by applicable law or where necessary to protect the security of the service.
8. Data Security
The extension uses HTTPS for communications with localseo.lk.
Authentication uses restricted sessions, token expiration, revocation controls, and server-side token verification.
Although we take reasonable security precautions, no technology or online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Limitations of Metadata Removal
Image Privacy Cleaner supports selected JPEG, PNG, and WebP metadata-processing operations.
Some metadata may remain in unsupported structures, embedded secondary images, provenance manifests, unusual application-specific fields, or other formats that cannot be safely rewritten.
The extension reports cleaning and verification outcomes where supported, including partially cleaned or failed results.
We do not guarantee that every possible metadata field, identifying characteristic, or digital provenance record can be removed.
We recommend reviewing image files before publishing or sharing them.
10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use information accessed through the extension only to provide and improve its disclosed image privacy functionality and related account, security, and subscription operations.
We do not use or transfer extension user data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness assessment, or sale to data brokers.
Human access to personal information is restricted to circumstances such as user-authorized support, legitimate security operations, or applicable legal requirements.
11. User Choices and Privacy Requests
You may stop using the extension, sign out, or uninstall it at any time.
Uninstalling the extension does not automatically delete records held in your localseo.lk account.

Requests are handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements and the verified capabilities of our account-management systems.
